FLoCs will replace 3rd party cookies for interest targeting. Trials start in March with Chrome 89. Once released Chrome will allow indie #adtech to target any of the 620 interest groups the SimHash algo puts a browser into. The more I've thought about this slide (from the Taboola IPO deck), the more it has annoyed me (aside from the well-covered angle that the quality of ads/sites running through Taboola is....not good)
